I have been thinking about a new tagline for my web design business, Glo Marketing, for at least a couple of months now. It’s never easy trying to reinvent yourself. I finally completely revised my website (check it out — www.glomarketing.com) and I was still unhappy with my company tagline. For those of you who are saying — what the HECK is a tagline? It’s a slogan that sums up your company and its services — and hopefully says something meaningful and impactful about your company at the same time. In a nutshell, it’s tough to do.

Here’s  a couple of the more famous taglines out there:

UPS: What can brown do for you?
Apple Computer: Think Different
California Milk: Got Milk?
CNN: The most trusted name in news.
Maxwell House: Good to the last drop.

Anyway, after researching (again) I came across this “retired bloggers” website that had a great article about planning out your website ahead of time. So, anyone who’s considering or just starting to plan a new website should read this article. The process of creating your website costs time and money, so you’ll want to make sure you invest both wisely!

I digress. After all of my web surfing today, my new tagline finally “popped” into my head just like that. My interests have always been in the environment and I’ve been researching, blogging and living the eco-friendly lifestyle for a number of years now. Recently I’ve taken on some eco-friendly websites and I even offer eco-friendly hosting. Put all that together and voi la! My new company slogan—

Glo Marketing. Eco-friendly web design with you in mind!

(by the way– only 137 days of non-stop blogging to go…)
