Ever think about how to make your website mobile? With more and more people with Blackberrys, iPhones etc, even more are going online with their phones. Since I was in the car for part of the day (not driving) I researched some interesting websites that may help you get started.

Mofuse seems to be the leader in converting your blog (or website) to a mobile website quickly and easily. If you have a blog, you can use Mofuse for FREE. I’m going to test out Mofuse to convert this blog to a mobile blog and I’ll let you know how it goes.

Websites going mobile is still somewhat of a new technology, so if you’re going to pay someone to technically do this for you, make sure you do your homework. There are so many different phones out there, your web person will need to do some serious testing to make sure the mobile site is viewable with most phone sizes. Also, you need to consider how you want your mobile website to function — the main idea is to keep things simple.

Keep the design and images to a minimum
Since mobile phones don’t use a mouse, your website should mostly scroll
Limit the number of “links” (or pages) your customer will need to navigate through
Think about what kind of information your customer would be looking for on the phone
Keep the most important information at the top of your page

More information to come….
